What is sustainable for you?

What is sustainable for you?

For us, sustainability informs many of the decisions we make as a brand - we believe we have a commitment to our natural environment.

One of the easiest ways to make the fashion industry more sustainable long-term is to return to a slower fashion model, investing in the production of high-quality pieces that last.

At Kate and Jules, our collections have always been made to wear beautifully for years. In fact, we’ve had more than one of you share stories of passing K&J items onto friends and family members when you’ve had your fill!

Another way to reduce the impact fashion has on the environment is to reuse, recycle and upcycle.

Since our early days, we have upcycled items from older collections into cushions, scarves, blankets, and belts, always doing our best to ensure nothing goes to waste. We’ve even repurposed unused fabrics from previous seasons into linings, trims, and pockets for new season pieces.

True sustainability requires oversight. That’s why we take the time to get to know our manufacturers as partners (and friends), so together we can create beautiful things that don’t negatively impact our planet.

But what does sustainability mean to you?
